Okie. EXPRESSWAYS, FLYOVERS...! Yays, i like.
Flyovers are always fascinating to me.
Let's talk about the two flyovers nearest to my house.
Bedok North Flyover.
This is the
Trumpet Interchange.
(My diagram sucked, supposed to look like a
trumpet though.)
You can compare this diagram to the previous pic up there, it's the same direction.(Btw i notice that
wikipedia says B.North Flyover is a Cloverturbine Interchange. I disagree with that though. Or i may be wrong... Bwahhahas.)
The characteristics of a
trumpet interchange:
Suitable for areas with lower traffic.
Can only connect to two directions (to-and-fro). Which means drivers are unable to go/return from the Changi direction, only the Tuas direction is available.
The other flyover.
Eunos Flyover.
This is a
modified Diamond Interchange, or actually more of
Single-point Urban Interchange.
(Now the diamond-shape is very obvious.)
Characteristics of this flyover:
For roads with heavier traffic.
More complicated, with traffic lights to control the intersections.
Connects to all four directions (to/from Changi & to/from Tuas). Basically you can choose anywhere you want to head towards (more flexible).

PIE
(pan-island e'way):
Connects from changi to tuas
(apparently the longest expressway in sg), most accessible. But very very very likely to get
traffic congestions, due to heavy usage.
TPE
(tampines e'way):
Connects from tampines to seletar. A bit ulu
(which means you see trees and rivers along the way). Along tpe, you can see sengkang, punggol, tampines and pasir ris housing estates.
ECP
(east coast parkway):
Pretty tropical trees
(coconut and palm) along the way for aesthetic purposes, cus tourists taking taxis from changi airport often use this route. Parallel to the east coast park. Will be shortened, when the new Marina Coastal E'way is built.
AYE
(ayer rajah e'way):
Sort of a mirror image to the ECP. Lies below the PIE, it connects tuas to ECP (at tanjong pagar area). Passes by jur-east, clementi and queenstown areas.
CTE
(central e'way):
North to south. Expensive road
(due to the ERPs lols)! From yck to bt merah; passing by amk, bishan and chinatown areas.
SLE
(seletar e'way):
Kinda ulu also
(trees and trees). From yck to marsiling area. Passes by woodlands, upper thomson and sembawang areas.
BKE
(bukit timah e'way):
I nv travelled on it before (hahahs). But i know it'll take you to the johor causeway. The only main road that cuts through the bt timah hill
(=DDD)! Passes by the right edge of bt panjang and marsilling area. According to the sg street map, the bke passes by a lot of unhabited locations
(ulu-ness).
KJE
(kranji e'way):
Kranji always remind me of "crunchy" when the mrt announces the name, lols. Anyway, think only have been on kje for once or twice
(like 2 mins journey only zz) on a smrt bus. Not many vehicles on that e'way though. From jur-west to cck to bt panjang
(apparently the shortest e'way of all). Separates cck and yewtee, surrounds the north of bt panjang.
KPE
(kallang-paya lebar e'way):
Woots mainly underground. Last time when i took buses to sch, i'd always see the construction sites. Not yet fully completed
(i think). Slowest e'way
(can only at 70km/h, while other above-ground e'ways can go 90km/h leh).
Cool, but i don't really like, cus cannot see sceneries, lols.And lastly, the
diagram of e'ways in sg.

expressways, i'm also pretty interested in
road names in sg,

Wahahahahs.
My bag failed me today.T.T
(OFF TEXT: Btw i typed halfway through already, and this is gonna be a long post ahead. You've been warned. So sorry. XD)
But luckily some kindsoul offered me to put my spoilt bag into her backpack, so that i didn't have to hug my bag while walking around, and getting to
botak jones (warning: webpage has music pop-up upon opening, hahahs so when you're not supposed to have music coming from your com, example when you're having tutorial/lecture in class, please don't click). =D
Honestly, the serving is quite huge. Can two people share lo. (Bearing in mind that i will hardly say
food serving too big for one person leh.)
It's actually the french fries that makes one full. Not just normal plain crinkle fries; there's spicy powder on the fries.
The menu is like at least ten pages of A4 papers. So have to spend some time reading the pages and pages of words. Several puns and jokes included inside the menu. (A bit lame. -.-" LOLS hahahhahas.)
My
fish and chips the fish so-so. The tartar sauce is special though, doesn't taste like the normal ones you buy at supermarket. When we dipped the fries into the tartar sauce, we said that the whole thing tasted like
lay's sour cream and onion flavour potato chips and
pringles sour cream and onion flavour potato chips. Really taste like lo. -__-

Just bought a
diy chain from a beads-shop at tamp mrt station there.
Rather cheap lo to buy diy chains, then make your own necklace. Diy-ing necklace is just a tiny fraction the cost of buying at commercial shops in shopping malls, and you can add whatever you like. =D
Two different combinations with the same chain.
(What's up with the frames and stuffs? -.- Lols i'll mention in the later part of this post.)
The leftover chain can also be used to make keychain-charms.
The butterfly came from a dangling earring... -.-

These four have been with me for at least a year. The oldest being the one on the right (which explains the dirtiness), using it for like four years already i think. See how the shoelaces disintegrate. -_-

I spent my last two days downloading hundreds of zip files, of
dsb (hahahhas short-form) materials. And now i got thousands of materials like alphabets, textured papers, embellishments, frames, ribbons, etc etc.
The first two i did...
First trial. Conclusion: TOO MESSY due to too many
little things added. Too many colours; no focus at all. Cus this is my first try, i have the tendency to throw in all the things that i like.
Ready for a mini object-hunt game? LOLS! Find the objects listed below. (Zz very easy, even got hints one.)
The
little things i like are: the
crystals scattered on the white frames,
staples, pink
fabric flower (stapled at the bottom-right corner), july/january
stamps, bear-head
paperclip (top-centre),
jigsaw puzzle piece and finally the set of 3
brown frames with small photos.
(Hahahahhahas even my words, one whole paragraph chucked tgt looks so freaking messy.)

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a slow-down in the performance of the Flowers and Jewelry applications that had operated flawlessly under the Boyfriend 5.0 system.
In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.9, but installed undesirable programs such as NFL 7.4, NBA 3.2 and NHL 4.1. Conversation 8.0 also no longer runs and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system.
I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail. What can I do?

Dear Desperate,
First, keep in mind that Boyfriend 5.0 was an entertainment package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system.
Try to enter the command C:/ITHOUGHTYOULOVEDME and install Tears 6.2. Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Guilt 3.3 and Flowers 7.5. But remember, overuse can cause Husband 1.0 to default to such background applications as Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0, or Beer 6.1. Please remember that Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will create SnoringLoudly.WAV files.
DO NOT install Mother-In-Law 1.0 or reinstall another Boyfriend program. These are not supported applications and will crash Husband 1.0. They could also potentially cause Husband 1.0 to default to the program: Girlfriend 9.2, which runs in the background and has been known to introduce potentially serious viruses into the Operating System.
In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have a limited memory and can't learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to enhance his system performance. I personally recommend that old stand-by Lingerie 6.9 (which has been credited with improved performance of his hardware).

I found an antique today!XDDD
I know there are some contents i've stored inside the floppy disk, like donkey years ago
(used in pri sch). But already forgot what i put inside. -_-
And the best part is.
I've got no drive to read the floppy disk, yay.
Almost extinct le.
But i find this cute. Programs still
using the floppy disk icon to represent the save function. Very classic! But i think nowadays more program creators will deprecate the logo. Cus for the next generation of kids, they might not even know what is a
floppy disk.

Bought the pendant some months ago. But didn't buy the chain. Still looking around. Wanted something that is long enough, and yet the metal won't cause rashes to my neck.
Easy solution would be buy chain made of silver. But silver can be not-cheap leh. Esp when it's long.
And i was thinking i can disassemble my dangling earrings to make pendants, since i hardly wear dangling earrings anymore (somemore i only wear one side).
I got my reasons for not starting work yet.
Will start work after securing a place for my next three years (!!!), and when somebody goes botak at tekong (!!!).

A little girl walked daily to and from school. Though the weather one morning was questionable and clouds were forming, she made the daily trek to the elementary school. As the day progressed, the winds whipped up, along with thunder and lightning. The mother was worried that her daughter would be frightened walking back home from school, and she herself feared the electrical storm might cause her harm. Following each roar of the thunder, lightning would cut through the sky like a flaming sword. Being very concerned, the mother got into her car and drove along the route to the school.
Soon she saw her small child walking along. The thunder would boom, and then, at each flash of lightning, the child would stop, look and smile. One followed another, each time with her child stopping, looking up at the streak of light and smiling. Finally, the mother called out and asked, "Honey, what are you doing?" Her little girl answered, "God keeps taking pictures of me!"
The second one.
Three dead bodies turn up at the mortuary, all with very big smiles on their faces. The coroner calls the police to tell them what has happened.
"First body: Frenchman, 60, died of heart failure while making love to his mistress. Hence the enormous smile, Inspector", says the Coroner.
"Second body: Scotsman, 25, won a thousand dollars on the lottery, spent it all on whisky. Died of alcohol poisoning, hence the smile."
The Inspector asked, "What of the third body?"
"Ah," says the coroner, "this is the most unusual one.
Billy-Bob the redneck from Oklahoma, 30, struck by lightning."
"Why is he smiling then?" inquires the Inspector.
"Thought he was having his picture taken."
Both are based on the similar concept. But seriously, sometimes when outdoor i see flash, i thought got lightning. Then, in fact is people take photograph.

40% golden blended into 60% white.Not a very common fur colour for neighbourhood stray cats i thought.
(And i seriously have an affection for animals with golden fur! Like
golden retriever's fur is very nice. =D)

(that is not the point). This particular cat in the photo, somehow has a
grumpy/
miserable/
depressed face... And look at its tummy... Very saggy lo. I'm not thinking that this cat is pregnant or what, but i just keep thinking that it looks like it has recently given birth. Cus the skin at the stomach there looks really
flimsy, not solid at all lo.
I'm glad to see this fur colour. But somehow the cat has this sad-look. Hais. T_T

Good day. =)
Admission test, i thought was kinda fun. (-.-") Lols.
One seminar room (which is like about three or four rooms that long). I have friendly neighbours beside me to talk to, hahs.
A variety of different people when i looked around. The most surprising person i saw, is a lady sitting left and in front (diagonally) of me. Her age is like my mum's. Seriously, it takes a lot of courage to be furthering her education at her age. Wonder if she will feel a little depressed, that everybody around her are basically young kids. Applause man. =D

Paper one i enjoyed the most. Using creativity, supposed to observe and draw any three things in a group, or stacked together. Everyone seems pretty much confused. Then the guy explained to us we are to
visualise and draw anything
you see, use
imagination.
Wtf. Suddenly everybody have this confused face. His statement is super ironic man.
Visualise, yet draw anything you
SEE? So what are we supposed to do man. Draw something that is factual, or something imaginary? After he said start, we all look kinda stunned.
The ^%$%*$ guy who wore a bape tee, explained again (but in a different way i guess). This time he said, we are to
take out three things from our pocket or bags, stack them together, observe and draw. Then everybody started digging their belongings. The instruction is finally clear and understood by all. -_____-
My left and right neighbours (both girls) stacked their drawing materials (colour pencils box, paint box, etc). I saw a guy in front stacked up his wallet, cigarette, and dunno-what. Lols seriously thought drawing boxes of colouring materials will be super boring lar. I must draw things that i have affection to. =D
These are the three objects i have chosen, stacked something like this.
One tube of lip gloss, a pair of glasses and a comb.
Cus i keep thinking it is quite interesting for the comb to appear thru the lenses. But too bad, my specs' degree is very minor, thus not much effect. Lols.
Only given one hour for paper one. A bit not enough lar, i find.
(Cus i'm a slow person LOLS.) Like the guy said left 15 mins, i have just started colouring lo zzzzz. Then i quickly colour finish, and use a wet brush go over
(cus i used water-coloured-pencils). Then quickly use black colour pencil outline. And not enough time to do shading and shadow, sigh sigh lols. The lady mentioned shading and shadow is part of the components where much marks go into.

Paper two (two hours) not really something i enjoy. So-so. Hahs. Cut outs from magazines. Got three themes to choose from:
Surprise,
Calm,
Hope. Chose
hope. Cus
calm is quite hard lo, i thought.
Hope makes me feel happier, hahs. I just anyhow. Think my work is below average. And you have to combine magazine cut-outs with own hand drawings. Pretty weak at this, lols.

And yay so happy cus pass by peace centre and dabao two
each-a-cup. =DDD I like
each-a-cup so much.
Sweettalk and others are lousy.
Each-a-cup is good. The smoothie especially, is superb (though slightly more expn that
sweettalk), the smooth and milky taste. =D But the ultimate bubble tea king, is from
rockery (bugis). Their smoothie use a bit of real fruits. But
rockery, the price is pretty steep though, near $3 just for a cup of bubble tea. Worth it or not? (I think worth it. XD But i don't drink often, cus very few branches and expn.)
And today is the first time in my life, that i forgot to take straws. XD But nvm i got keep bubble tea straws de. Cus usually i buy two bubble teas bring home drink, but only use one straw for both drinks.
Plus, i today receive a packet of wooden chopsticks
(for buying wanton mee at sunshine plaza), inside got threeeee chopsticks. Lols usually when i eat takeaways, i get packets with one chopstick though.
Freaky.Tofu abuse.

Upon opening my web browser (IE7), my homepage mentioned something which i thought is worth

SMRT the "Best"I start to wonder if yahoo-sg is hinting any

If smrt is indeed the best, why would there be a need for the "open and close" inverted commas???Another point is, the link
"SMRT appeal rejected" is placed at the same section is relevant to the incident of train disruption between tanah merah and pasir ris on 21jan08, and smrt has been fined heavily by LTA.
Smrt also won the "Most Customer-friendly Transport" award by LTA. (Rofl once again. Note that there are only two major transport companies, sbs and smrt lo. Only TWO competing? Mmm. What else can i say?)

After accompanying zhili reinstalling windows xp os at sp, we went to eat
ice cream, WOOHOO. (I love ice cream muahhahahas.)
(Note the flavours in both cups are NOT the same. Looks can be deceiving, lols.)Surprise surprise. Just happen to get the same colours. And both cups (or rather, bowls) are actually the same size, although the photo does not seem so. Hahs angle problem.
Zl having the left one. Mine, the right one.
Left cup - Hazelnut Haven (brown) and Choc O Harmony (white).
Right cup - Cherry Brandy (brown) and Lychee Martini (white).
The
hazelnut one has a much nuttier taste than the hazelnut gelato in takashimaya.
The
choco harmony one is white choco with fruit and almond bits. =D
The
cherry brandy has chunks of cherry
(which has been soaked in brandy) and a bit of chocolate swirl, very minimal brandy taste.
The
lychee martini has lychee bits here and there =DDD, and it has no alcohol taste at all...
(Doesn't matter lar, i not drunkard. The lychee is yummy de lo.)If i ever go back
(the place is a little ulu, and far from my house), i would try:
Jaffa Choc – orange marmalade ice cream jazzed up with a generous spread of dark citrus chocolate fudge
Orange Marmalade – tangy orange ice cream swirled in marmalade
Brandied Figs & Honey – sweet figs steeped in brandy mixed into fragrant honey ice cream
Sunny Strawberry – this is the way real strawberry ice cream should be
I like it that it's not the usual disposable cups and colourful plastic spoons. Clay dishes and metal spoons just feel good. =D Happy shovelling.
(Ice cream spoons always seem to remind me of shovels.)Mmm the most disappointing ice cream i feel, shall be from azabo sabo. So-so taste, rather no-kick.
And i have no interest in those shops offering fanciful mix-ins (gummy bear, m&m, blah) for ice creams. Lols pretty pointless, i thought.
Whee, enough of ice creams. =)

Two more days to entrance test. Written on the instruction paper that i am to bring along 4-8 copies of old magazines. (Woah isn't that heavy?) And some colouring materials. (Whoops i have none.)
Lols seriously don't like the idea of tearing off the magazine pages. T_T Like so wasted lar, wanted to keep and so that next time can read de.
