♥ Tuesday, November 24, 2009The supposedly-september post. Two months belated.Late is always better than never right? Was too damn bloody busy. Now it's relaxation time. Typically consisted of term 1's assessments.  Way to school. Heavy showers, flooded quite a depth.  Shoes totally soaked. Clothing and hair were wet too. Compare the first picture and this, you can't even see the "traffic white line" here.  In the midst of furniture design studio project: wooden mould ready for pvc vacuum-forming.  Result was totally not ideal, there were folded skirtings at the side (already trimmed off, can't exactly see them clearly here).  We were eating at the chicken rice place, while discussing the content of coke. I believed it contains caramel to produce the brown colouration. Upon looking up the ingredient list, this was the first time that we notice THE BARCODE IS "WOOOO"!  Very simple packaged fruit juices spotted in the supermart. Cute...! But overpriced. Hmpf. Hence, i didn't buy.  The very funny (in terms of character) big furry cat in the neighbourhood. (Anyway i've moved house already, as of end-october.) Whenever i walk past its house, it will stare at me, then run a little, stare at me again, run a little again. -_- Bloody cute, and it looks totally like a carpet when it's lying down. And i know this breed of cat is definitely quite expensive.  Seminar posters up! My group is the white a3 poster with a drawing pen dipped in a cuppa coffee, with the topic "a designer's muse". Okie my fault for the badly photoshopped pen-coffee combo, cus it was done in a rush. Pen was standing unnaturally and awkwardly, i know i know zzz.  We were eating at the al fresco area at the canteen, while being entertained by some birds having a food fight. Two mynas were fighting over a drumstick!!! It was rather funny. I just had to take the picture! Picture. Below. Erm......  Blame it on my hp's shutter lag. =c When i clicked it, the two birds flew away within half a second. -.- They laughed at my epic-failed photo. Anyway, i photoshopped something which is supposed to be the result.  LOLS bloody wasted, it could have been a great candid shot. Anyway, just a food for thought. Either they don't mind eating their own kinds, or their bird brains didn't manage to figure out that the drumstick belonged to a CHICKEN (and chicken is a kind of bird too). LOLS. Never mind though - it's not exactly considered cannibalism. - A day before assessment. Lg was here to help out with my cannot-make-it-on-time stuffs.  The 1:20 furniture model needs to be coated then dried then sanded smooth and coated then dried then sanded smooth, for at least 10 layers.  Shots with com's cam.  And this pic has been stuck on my msn display picture till now. Lols since lg said he like this picture. -_- - Assessment.  Presentation/concept boards, study models, folders of sketches, and final model sprayed in babyblue (LOLS). And in case you can't tell, it's a stool/chair. Don't worry, it's not your fault if you think it doesn't look like one.  Lively coloured injected into old structures.  Last 12 hours to go... It's messy-and-rushy. - Post-assessment.  Sleeping in the library (after days of burning midnight oil).  People were all sleeping, while waiting for the head-of-department to come and give a lecture as debrief. The same old statement, "you are all lacking of time management, blah blah...!" Animated, because wanted to show the lit up version, just in case it's not visible enough.  Spotted a huge grasshopper outside burlington square. - Second week.  Shot one.  Shot two.  Shot three. Three pictures above belongs to yan ni.  Last presentation before the one-week break. A group ppt presentation on design & culture (chosen topic was "oriental"). This was something extra, a mini exhibition. Since our definition of the orient includes korea, japan, china, vietnam, etc, we had the items on display. LOLS lecturer didn't really bother checking it out though. Actually in my opinion, the people of oriental is very similar. The culture influences one another. Basically, if you place a korean, japanese, chinese and vietnamese man in a row, with them having the same hairstyle and clothing, it's very hard to identify who is what race. They all look about the same. Similar skin colour. And the special thing about them is that they specialize in using chopsticks too. (Me likes chopsticks yay.)  The kopitiam foodcourt near campus at bras basah (known as "plaza by the park") has a fabulous stall, despite me being always skeptic about overpriced foodcourts. But at $5, my salad prawns with rice is really fab!!! There's even a fried egg, cucumber slices and free soup. Super huge serving with the WAAHH factor from other people (not because the rice is a lot, but the prawns they served me is really too many), had expected a stingy amount, but it wasn't~~~ Quite big prawns somemore. And quite yummy tooooo. - Short break to catch up with breath.  Kinda rare to take a candid shot with expression. (Don't ask me remove this leh lolsss.)  He doesn't like me taking pic this manner, saying people are watching or don't know what. Zzzzz. LOLS. -_-  This bowl-noodles cheated my feelings. Totally tasted nothing like crab-egg nor abalone.  Cakes from royal's cafe again. Mini eclair at the left (actually not very tasty) and the usual american walnut brownie at the right. - Start of a new term. New studio projects.  The very beginning (once again). Furniture design studio, this time a duo partnership, a full-scale 1:1 chair with backrest, using paper products for covering.  Three monochromic cats lazing next to a garbage collection structure.  Furniture design studio in process. Idea-storming.  The most humungous mooncake i've ever seen in my life!  Although it's just a airblown thingy but it's huge lo, can't imagine having to eat it, wtf.  Furniture design studio process/progress.  Peanut butter waffle at fortune centre is rather crispy but not fragrance enough.  I quote the van, "FROZEN curries, FROZEN vegetables, FROZEN parathas", are they indeed the original taste of india??? Lols i didn't know that the original indian cuisine is supposed to be frozen or have the freezer-taste.  Broken necklace which i haven't get to fix till now. Didn't have the chance to drop by any of their branches. It was broken once sometime ago, and the careless me broke it again. =c It's a first mensiversary gift from lg, so it's quite significant to me.  Lady boss bought me chocolate-coated marshmellows from australia. I think it's not easy to find marshmellows with dark chocolate and coconut flakes in singapore. Even in candy empire, it's always typically milk chocolate being used. Okie found the site. -_-  Lols here's a close-up, showing the fluffy appetizing bite.  Another royal's cafe's cake again. Banana chocolate if i didn't remember wrongly. It's nice. =D -  Rhino software. Modeling of the diamond.  The fake diamond reference. A chosen object to model after.  This blueberry juice is actually not bad.  Another week of furniture design studio's progess, continued.  Had to attend some talk by some texas theatre costume designer (which is actually none of my business leh lols).  John, my indian classmate, has huge feet. LOLS okie lar actually not huge, since i know quite a few guys also size 12. Just in contrast with the size 4.  Furniture design studio, collecting drinks carton boxes (tetra pak).  Yay flowers for my manager for her last day of work. - Okie hopefully will be back soon to finish up october post. And better still, november. Lols am waiting for yan ni's research seminar photos and gbcamp pics. Yay ton with lg very soon. =D Good night (morning), it's like 8.30am already. Gotta sleep. =) LOLS. 4:38 am
