June's content. The one which blogger ate it up 90%.
Only the first two sections were safe from 20th june. Zzz long overdue.

Quite content-heavy ahead i would say. Yes, it's gonna be kind of long i'm sorry.

Mainly landscape/architecture shots (i somehow feel accomplished mwahahahs) and self-adventure images, some food, a bit of crafts, a bit of cats and of course some other randomities (self-created word which doesn't exist in the dictionary).

And i've got a lot to say, jialat.

BTW I DISCOVERED SOMETHING LOL ABOUT YOUR CHILDHOOD FRIEND - THE COURTESY LION! Will be mentioned in this post in the second half section, stay tuned, zz.

Lately busy with temp odd jobs and refurbishing my old website (makes me headache).

Lols done with my stupid flash banner, which looks freaking weird (due to the combo of a real edited photograph and two cartoony animated cats i re-used from my webdesign project, since i thought it was a waste not to use them for myself), but never mind about the weirdness, since i've killed enough braincells to decide that i won't be doing another flash graphic soon. Too tedious.

-

Randomity.

I guess i'm the only one left without facebook (yes, it's intentionally). I'm a slightly defiant person who don't really like to conform. Anyway i'm not a sociable person that's why there's never a tagboard here.
However i don't really delete other old accounts. (Nostalgia?) I tend to keep old things zzz.

-

Continued from 03jun09. Very rare to get to meet like twice a week. (Normally meet on an average of once every fortnight.)

From cck to tampines north.

Lg's old beanie. -_-

Newyork in giant. Another -_- zz.

Tampines north never fails to produce great sunsets.
Nice darker little clouds floating in front. =D

Purple plants in foreground and cute rounded shrubs in background.

Seriously, i keep seeing this UFO-alike thing. But i've never got to figure out what kind of building is this. A factory? Industrial site? I can't even locate it in the street directory sia.

I DON'T LIKE UNSOLVED MYSTERIES. LOL! Leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

-

3-day project.

It's the usual eunos cat again!

Since when did my childhood banking smiley squirrel became so scary-looking?!
It's not smiling anymore, it's like having the -evil grins- face.

-

11jun09, went tekong for a visit.

Very tempted to take pictures on the island. But i managed to control, though they weren't that strict since there were some parents taking pictures too.

So, i did not have any tekong island pictures, like lols.
I have some ferry's pictures though.

The journey there.
Took quite a long time to reach, that made me suspect the ferry is really slow. I can't really judge the speed because i was sitting at the inner seat, not window seat.
And my cabin happened to have a faulty greyscale tv LOLS (refer the image on top), but hey i was very surprised that they use tvmobile just like sbs bus leh.

Approaching tekong island (you can see from the windows).

Btw i was really amused when the 3rd sergeant started to introduce us the package that enlistees will receive. What's funny was the uniform.
I always like to joke the new uniform as "the pixellated one" cus it has all the squares that look like you zoomed in too much on a computer.
But guess what, they really use the term "pixellated" to call their uniform. I was like wth, lols?

Return trip - i took the window seat. And observed the waves on the water surface. I concluded that the ferry is indeed slowww, cus the water surface looks similar to the times when i was kayaking...

I was wondering how did the buses get onto the island just for our sake.
And i happen to witness this.
So this is how they easily transport huge vehicles to-and-fro across the water.

Btw the tekong visit is really not recommended for elderly in my opinion. Cus there are some stairs to climb, some areas to walk, a really hot weather and 3rd sergeant tour guides speaking english.

Since it was a weekday afternoon, not all parents can take leave from work.
Hence, there were many grannies and grandpas. They didn't understand what those guides were talking about anyway, for many people of the older generation were not english-educated. And it can be physically-straining for them too.

Saw this cat while looking for a new place. (Will be moving place in four month's time.)
But there's something a bit weird with this cat. Don't believe me? See the next image.

The eyes (actually a bit scary, like human's eye zz).
And the chin looks a tad too sharp? Which in turn, made the mouth looks a bit weird too.

-

Crystal-like clear fuse beads!

Of cus ikea's beads were much more value for money. But the quality is different, and ikea doesn't have the clear type.

I made a floppy! Kind of cute sia zzz.

Nice-looking strawberries yay.

Smelt a burnt smell one midnight. There was a fire below. My neighbour's kids came back with empty pails, they helped to extinguished fire at the dustbin near letterboxes.

And the red rhino (mini fire engine) came. But fire was already out, so they tried to park their vehicle. Police car came soon after, but there wasn't enough parking space.

-

18jun09, journey-ful day. Since i was around the central-town area, might as well explore around and enjoy my day.

Some bread to fill tummy before venturing.

I've always like cinnamon roll/bun since young, but was kind of surprised that this cinnamon roll has white cream that looked more like muffin lo. -_- But anyway tried it. The cinnamon roll is at the bottom, but the white cream is good, has this refreshing lemon-cheesy taste.

Some bread with some un-remember-able name. But actually you can see it even in breadtalk or fourleaves in a not-as-cute form.
But the taste is not bad, cus it doesn't have the sickening bread texture yay.

A croissant which doesn't have the texture and taste of a regular croissant. Hence the name is woissant or something like that (zzz).

Seriously, i can't help feeling that my four-year old phone camera is good.
(I mean it's not that fabulous as compared to a real camera of at least 3megapixel and above of course. But it's indeed good for a rather-old phone model, don't you agree?)

I'll always remember this clarkequay mrt exit, which i die-die will never use again.
Really old friend edson and jd led me out with this seemingly endless flights of stairs up, some months ago.
LOLS it's not that it reminds people of those "endless staircase" scenes in ghost movies.
BUT seriously, the stairs are really a little too much to climb, especially when i'm not prepared to workout my leg muscles at all.

Pathetic architectural shot. But the reflections on the building looks interesting though.

Trying to take perspective landscape shots. I liked how this went.

Small watermelon at $50, bigger watermelon at $70 and a rock melon costs $80 woo.
(I can easily buy at below $5 per fruit at ntuc leh, what's so special about them, seriously?)

Off to boat quay area.

Memorial!

Another attempt at perspective landscape shot. Woohoo i like.

Actually hor, just noticed that it's more interesting under the esplanade bridge rather than on it. I like the curves!

A big group of chinese tourists crowding the motorbike ice cream uncle.

On the esplanade bridge.

A very sharp tinge of sudden emotions hit me.
T_T The ultimate nostalgia feel. Seriously leh.

The same purple hibiscus...

Dated 07april2007, the classic pic of more than two years ago.

Although it's nothing spectacular there, i think i'd really want us to return there again some day.

The view while being on the bridge, marina bay sands was not around at all at that time.

This overhead metal frame thing was also not there two years ago.
I am pretty sure that this is used for the f1 grand prix night lighting.

A last shot before i leave.

Since when is there a baby merlion at the merlion park?
Never noticed it until now, or is it that it has been placed there only recently?

This is the anderson bridge.
I've always thought that swissotel looks really great and outstanding (that round tall building in the background).

I reached my planned location, the cavenagh bridge!

What's so special about the cavenagh bridge you might wonder.
It's so very interesting, ha ha.
I badly wanted to see the singapura cat stone sculptures with my own eyes, after seeing so many images on the net. And i also know there's this ancient sign thing there.
Makes me excited.

Tadah~ The stone sculptures of singapuras! The (paw raised) baby one damn cute.

BUT not happy leh. Why?
Because i always see photos taken by other people, they managed to get a real cat (though not the genuine pure singapura breed) to be in the same picture as the sculptures! You see below...

Sources: 1, 2a and 2b are acknowledged to be different cats taken by the same person, and 3.

I didn't spot any cats there at all! =c LOLS. What luck.

This is the ancient sign i was talking about.

A closer look at the text.
They had cattle and horses in those mata-wears-shorts days.

Yes, it's that ancient. Way before ww2 started.

Greeted by your childhood friend at one of end of cavenagh bridge, the singa courtesy lion!

He has made a comeback, you can also find him inside the dhoby ghaut mrt interchange (walkway between red and purple line) wearing a overly stretched face mask to inform us about h1n1.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION: The original courtesy lion did not appear wear any pants! LOLS i am very much amused.

(Didn't want to post the original image here - by providing the link only, cus i don't want to infringe copyrights of some g'vment body. G'vment cannot play play.)

A popular spot for taking wedding photographs.

The two of the three tallest buildings (280m) in singapore in shown in this image: OUB centre and UOB plaza one.

Singapore has a maximum height limit at 280m in due to aviation reasons, because our land is too small (hence changi airport is too near).

And 280m is considered short in the world liao. The current tallest building in the world has already hit 800m high, a rather crazy height (yes, btw the building has 56 lifts, wtf so many) and it's in dubai. Too much money to spend?

You can see the list of tall buildings in singapore here.

The buildings look kind of fake, due to the reflection from the metal-clad facade.

Cavenagh bridge from afar. With fullerton hotel as the background.

Boat with tourists.

Fullerton hotel, way too beautiful.

The search for sir stamford raffles' statue.

Lols my idol leh. Because his birthday is just one day after mine. And his death day on is my birthday. -_- Somehow, he passed away on the day just before his birthday.

With a lot of help by disturbing lg on the phone to check my location, i finally found him (raffles, not lg).

Yay, though i expected the statue to be white.

Idol!

One last picture of the bronze-d him.

Did a little research back home. There were actually two sir raffles' statue in the vicinity, as marked in the map below. The two blue bullets...

A fused image from streetdirectory.com.

No wonder i took so long to find it.
I was expecting a white statue beside the river, as i always see on the net, supposedly marking his landing site.
The one i found was along empress rd, in front of victoria theatre; it is a bronze statue, the first-original one though.

I will be back some day to visit the white marble statue. =)

-

Late june.

Part of toolbox.

So happy, finally bought the swarovski starfish-shaped crystal.
It's the craft version, so it's much cheaper than the boutique series.
Shiny shiny. =D

Accidental image.
By placing the phone down on any blue surface, in camera mode with flash.
The gradient is nice though.

Ate at the royal's cafe. Price is considered reasonable.

My grilled chicken with rice is edible but not impressive enough for a second try.
I'd rather eat at aston with that kind of price.
All i liked was only the rice, but not the meat/sauce. -_-

The cakes there are really cheap though. My stomach don't have a lot of space to enjoy their cakes, so bought them back as takeaway.
My american carrot cake and dark chocolate truffle were rather tasty, seriously. But not extremely nice. Definitely good enough to eat the second, third and fourth time though.
I like the walnut-ty lemon cream on top of the carrot cake.
(Normally i'm quite picky about cakes and ice cream. I'm very particular one, in terms of food, in case you don't know me yet, ha ha. Although i'll eat almost everything, i'll judge them stringently.)

My triple nut ice cream or something like that can't rmb the name. Was fairly decent, but not fabulous.

Stocking up at the supermart.

This is no good, too much instant food. Bad... I shall place some of the items back to the shelves and get other stuffs.

The new shopping basket. LOLS.

The penne might not have looked like it's cooked till al dente, but it tasted not bad though honestly.
(Yes i can't help throwing in my favourite fresh shiitake mushrooms.)

A twist to the ordinary sour tapes. =D

Told you i really like shiitake mushrooms damn a lot, lols. Always buying them and adding in whatever i cook.

The old changi theatre site at bedok central has been demolished and is said to be building a new shopping mall soon.

Spotted a chio blue bottle at cold storage, hence bought it.
(Even though the so-called dew water tasted like newater, the bottle is nice... Hhahahahs.)

My blue hello hydration: orchid and coconut milk conditioner is almost finished, saw this new red long term relationship: raspberry and satin on the shelf and decided to give it a try. =D

Late-night chocolate craves/energy boosters.

This must be the most disgusting-looking yam ice blended i've ever purchased, lols!
The colour looked more like blue pen ink.
I've always been drinking pinkish-purple pastel-coloured yam bubble tea.
But this tasted super like wafer biscuits. -_______- Or milo powder. Zzzzz.
Weird, and too sweet.

This greek salad is really kinda nice leh, even though it looks messy. I like the feta cheese very much man. Feta feta~~~

What a long post.

Five kinds of women you should never date/get together with.

1) She who threatens - like, "if you don't come, i'll slit my wrist."

Wrist is definitely not an efficient way to commit suicide, by the way. Why not the throat?

2) She who expects a male to pay for everything and plan for everything, including valentine's day and her birthday.

Apparently this is no longer those ancient era whereby women are not allowed to receive education and go out to work. According to statistics, men earn only about $200 more per month as compared to their female counterparts, on the average. And guys need to eat too, why should they be responsible for every single damned thing?

3) She who imagines she is a princess.

Unless you ride a white horse and own a shiny sword with a medieval shield.

4) You first got to know her in some red-light district.

You don't want to know how many 50-year-old uncles fell in love with her too.

5) She who looks/sounds exactly like your mom.

Simply because you don't need another mom.

Five types of guys you should never date/get together with.

1) He restricts you, no matter what you wear, eat and do.

Unless you enjoy being a POW POL (prisoner-of-love).

2) He who mocks at your weight, intelligence, behaviour and whatsoever. Saying in a jokingly manner is excluded.

He has no respect. So he shouldn't be respected too.

3) He who expects that females should be capable enough to do anything/everything on their own.

We do enjoy receiving some help from men too. Biologically in general, due to sexual dimorphism, the female body is less strong than the male body. (That's one reason why females are only required to do inclined version for pull-ups for NAPFA instead of the real pull-ups for males.)

4) He who enjoys PDA.

Unless you want to get STOMPed.

5) He who auditions in competitions with a pair of yellow swimming trunks.

Self-explanatory.

By the way, there's something i feel like going.

Home Design & Decor 2009 in Expo.
Click above link for more details.
27th june to 05th july 09.

=D

The long long long post i've yet to redo. LOLS a bit feddup.

Nowadays can't concentrate anyway, like half-heartedly revamping an old site, half-heartedly preparing post contents. Only a pathetic odd-looking animated flash banner is up, still no ideas with the general interface layout yet.

At least those image hosts get working again, after so many hours of being cocked-up. I saw so many awful "x-es" everywhere, zz lols.

-

=) Byebye anyway. Lols at least i get one free day next week. Either that, or you pei me countdown on saturday night, which i don't think you'd want anyway ha ha so boliao.

Nearly 8am, 8 more minutes to go. Not because i spend a lot of hours on this. It's just that i did halfway then continue. Anyway this boliao comic article was thought by last night when i couldn't sleep.

Good morning.

I am very upset.

Cus blogger ate my words!

I typed super long already... And by luck with some lagging bug, 90% of my content disappeared suddenly. (Blogger has the autosave function which autosaves your post every few minutes. Hence, it immediately autosaves right after my contents goes missing wtf.)

So my save-function is useless~ Cus the autosave overwrites it anyway. Sibei sian.

No way to retrieve back, i had lots of texts leh.

It's like almost 5am, spent so many hours already. Zz. Okie good night anyway. Continue tomorrow. Mood spoiler.

Good night good night. =)

(Lols don't ask me why i can still put a smiley there, cus i'm like that - i laugh at sad things, sadist LOLS.)

Second-half of may.

No cat pics ahead, don't worry.
A lot of food pics though.

-

Just got the 4e'06 cny-2009 at miss ho's house photographs two saturdays ago, like finally ha ha.

Her house has a nice direct seaview of east coast park, but can be often quite warm (guessing due to the design of the flat which hardly allows much wind to enter).

Eight pics i have in total, but i'm only going to post two. If not, it's very repetitive.
One with miss ho (or mrs tan to be more correct), one without.
Btw she's already pregnant liao, it's a son coming on the way. =D

Dated 08feb09.

I know that images taken with dslr camera is huge. But i didn't now it was that huge, like an average of 5mb per file. -_- Larger than a typical mp3 file size.
Makes sharing files difficult though, need to resize manually (i don't trust applications' auto-resize, the quality turns out very sucky, with a lot of pixellated colour-corners).

-

Not mayday or any distress. All as dated.

My instant mee has more veggie than mee.
(Intentionally-overcooked tomatoes to release the flavours, red dates to sweeten the soup, favourite shiitake mushrooms and yellowish cabbage no choice cus i badly want to eat cabbage but the shop's cabbages are all yellowish.)

My favourite packaged bread series.
Good with simple butter, but yummy enough on its own.
(I don't really see this selling at many places; very hard to find them.)

Scrumptious burger muahahahhas.
I ranked it the second place of all bk's burgers.
First place is the holy mushroom swiss tendergrill (which appears in the menu once every year or so).

This spicy tendercrisp is a good one. LOLS.
Crispy on the outside (the crispiness is different from mcd-mcspicy or kfc-zinger which are like whole piece, it is more like powdery fried), and the juicily-mildspiciness inside which taste like chilli-padi (whereas mcspicy's one is more spicy but the spiciness taste so typical instead of special). But i have one little complain though, the staff who made my spicy tendercrisp is a bit stingy on mayonnaise. =c

Burgerking don't have many nice burgers i must admit, but their seasonal promoted burgers are sometimes the best.
(Yayay mushroom swiss tendergrill is even better any carl's jr burger in my opinion. The cheese and mushroom sauce appeared to merge together, miss it damn a lot... Especially the juicily grilled chicken is soft and nice.)

I was at the national library looking for some origami book. A title at the bind caught my attention. Like wtf (pun again zz). What if kids are looking at it sia. -_- Art and crafts section leh...

Don't ask me why am i so boliao.

I like this bread with cream and almond, despite one of the browner almond flakes looking like some cockroach wing.

This pizza bread is one of the better pizza-bread out there.
It has hotdogs, green capsicum, mushroom, mayonnaise, mozzarella cheese, chilli sauce and black pepper~

I thought the previous one i made was kind of tasteless. So i tried again, doing a bit of improvisation. POTATO SALAD, yup. By the way, trust me, real bacons bits taste so much better than the typical fake bacon bits (those bright solid and crunchy ones that are seen everywhere), they are also more cost efficient.

-

First of june.

He said that i am permitted to post this pic. LOLS.

(I still think it's funny that your mother says i am tiny, when she's even more tinier than me. Haahahahs.)

The only display at giant which i thought looked interesting. As if the onions flowed out from the wicker baskets on top.

-

My hair is quite long already. Reaching the butt very soon.
But everytime i go and have a haircut, it's always the same pattern, other than it being shorter. Even lg has no idea of another hairstyle for me.

Hence, i did some experimental stuffs. Not with internet website applets, but manual edits.

I tried numberous. But all cannot-make-it.
These two are weird, but at least they are the best already zzz.

And no, no intention of having a short hairdo. I had boy-hair until about 9 years old, after which my hair has always been long.

-

Okie rushing out to buy dinner before my dinner is gone! 10.32pm.

Yay meeting again tml, so happy.
